iPhone 14 or Newer
Starting with most models of the iPhone 14, the sim card tray is no longer available and the IMEI number cannot be located on the device. So you’ll need to locate the serial number from the device directly. Here’s what you’ll need:
A lightning or USBc (for iPhone 15 and newer) Cable
An apple computer
Place the iPhone into recovery mode by quickly:
Clicking the volume up button
Clicking the volume down button
Holding the side button until you see recovery mode
Plug the device into your Apple computer
A finder window will launch asking to restore the device
Do not restore the device
The serial number for the device will be available at the top of the finder window:
Most other brands of phone you’ll find the IMEI number on the sim card tray, back of the phone, or under a removable battery.
Samsung
The back of your device: The IMEI and serial number are printed in small text on the back of the device near the bottom.
Under the battery: If you have a removable battery, look under or below the battery for the device’s IMEI or serial number.
Google Pixel
Sim Card Tray: like iPhones, the IMEI is printed in small text in the sim card tray
