The Bonnaroo Music Festival is an iconic event, bringing tens of thousands of people to the farm yearly, but what about their Lost and Found? In 2022, Bonnaroo decided to take lost and found seriously by incorporating the Liff App into their operation.
If you’re looking for a lost item, make sure to check out the lost and found page.
The Results
As of June 21st, the results speak for themselves!
The lost and found team left the farm with over 64% of the found stuff returned to their owners, and there are plenty more getting shipped out as you read this (unless you’re reading this way too far in the future like the apocalypse has happened and thus no more shipments are occurring).
How was it different?
There have been other lost and found tools in the past, so surely this can’t be much different.
It was very different, and don’t call me Shirley.
Protect- Register your phone before it's lost

Bonnaroo has always tried to help its attendees avoid the challenging experience of a lost item. Still, past methods were unreliable, far from the best data security practices, and (we know this shouldn’t matter much, but…) not very aesthetically pleasing.
Protect with the Liff App helped change the game, allowing Bonnaroo attendees to register their devices directly with the Lost and Found team, add up to three friends to contact when the device was found, and get a charming festival wallpaper as their lock screen.
This upgrade not only helped get a ton of phones turned into the lost and found but helped quickly reunite them back to their owners and even aided in returning IDs, Wallets, and Payment Cards.
Digital Lost and Found Page

Of course, Bonnaroo has had a digital lost and found in the past. It makes the search process for attendees remarkably easier, but what might not be as obvious is all the fancy staff tools going on in the background.
The Liff App logging tools allow festival staff to log significantly more found property, more accurately, in far less time than the alternatives. That means the items get posted faster, the information is more accurate, and it leads to faster and more frequent returns when the attendees look. All around… it’s just better.
Festival Postcards

Postcards might be the last thing someone thinks of when picturing lost and found; well, that someone isn’t any of the Liff App crew because Postcards are fantastic!
The Liff App generates Bonnaroo Postcards to send out for any remaining property with an address after the event, think IDs & Wallets. If it’s still around and;
- they didn’t register for protect,
- or stop by in person,
- or check out the digital lost and found,
I hope they kept their address on the ID up to date because this postcard might save the day.
